  • Dues Payments must be received by January 1, 2018.
  • A 20% late fee will be applied to dues paid after January 31, 2018.
  • Membership will be inactivated on March 15, 2018 for nonpayment.
  • A $45 processing fee will be assessed on all returned checks.
  • All membership fees are nonrefundable.

Membership dues are not deductible as charitable contributions, but may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense subject to restrictions imposed as a result of association lobbying activities.

Compliance with the Tax Reform Act of 1993 requires that the portion of dues attributable to lobbying and political activities at the State and Federal levels of government be considered nondeductible for income tax purposes.  For 2017, with NJ REALTORS® dues at $135 per member, NJ REALTORS® computes 26 percent or $35 to be nondeductible for the member’s income tax purposes due to NJ REALTORS® lobbying efforts.   For 2018, with dues at $120 per member, NAR computes 42 percent or $50 to be nondeductible for the member’s income tax purposes due to NAR lobbying efforts.  The entire $35 Public Awareness Campaign special assessment is fully deductible.  RPAC Contributions are not deductible for income tax purposes.  Contributions to RPAC are voluntary and are used for political purposes.
