For each additional reinspection, beyond the first inspection, all unit types except apartments, the fee shall be $100.00.

For apartments in a multi-family complex, the fee for the initial inspection shall be $75.00.

For each reinspection of an apartment in a multi-family complex, the fee shall be $75.00.
For each smoke detector, sewer or multi-family certification inspection, the fee shall be $50.00

Effective July 1st, 2011, Borough of Princeton and Princeton Township have entered into a shared services agreement for joint fire safety inspection programs, the fee schedules and inspection requirments are retained for the respective municipality.
Checks or cash for payment will no longer be collected in the field by municipal inspectors. All inspection fee must be paid in person or by mail on the offices of the Princeton Borough Bureau of Fire Safety and Housing Inspection, 1 Monument Drive, Princeton, NJ 08542.
Payment of all inspection and reinspection fees will only be accepted upon completion of the inspection and any required reinspections. Payments for inspections will no longer be accepted prior to inspections.
