1st Time Home Buyer

The HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) under the HOME Investment Partnership Act was enacted as part of the Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act of 1990. This Act created a funding source available for affordable housing programs. The funds are distributed on a formula basis, and are geared toward low and very low-income households. The purpose of the HOME Program is to expand the supply of decent, safe, sanitary, and affordable housing, strengthen the abilities of state and local governments to provide housing. The HOME is administered by the Mercer County Housing and Community Development office, and has been in existence since 1992.
