Open House Weekend

Mercer County Association of Realtors® and the New Jersey Association of REALTORS® (NJAR®) will be joining REALTOR® organizations across the country for a nationwide Open House Weekend April 10-11, 2010.  We encourage you to help jumpstart the spring buying season and hold open houses for potential home buyers who may want to try to take advantage of the extended and expanded home buyer tax credit before it expires on April 30, 2010.

Open House Weekend is also a prime opportunity to increase REALTOR® visibility and to generate positive news about real estate within the media, but we need YOU to help make this event a success.

Here are some other things you can do to help:

Use the blue REALTOR® “R” balloons available at the Mercer County Association office on your open house signage (where permissible) on April 10-11

Use the Open House logo in any advertising you do for that weekend

Talk about the event in Facebook and on Twitter

NJAR® will be helping you by:

  Providing customized logos and graphics

Promoting event on Facebook and Twitter

Partnering with various media outlets to promote the event and, in some cases, offer NJAR® members discounted prices and other special deals.  The newspapers NJAR® is working with include:

  Asbury Park Press

  Courier-Post

  Press of Atlantic City

  The Star-Ledger

  The Record

  The New Jersey Herald

  The Times of Trenton

We know that REALTORS® know real estate.  Let Open House Weekend show how valuable the professional expertise of a REALTOR® can be.  To Get the REAL Story® on Open House Weekend and all of the tools above, visit the REALTOR® Resources page section of www.REALstoryNJ.com.
