MCAR CLOSED


Mercer County Association of Realtors will be CLOSED MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH for Labor Day.

After September 6th, MCAR will resume regular hours, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

MCAR New Member Orientation


MCAR New Member Orientation: All new members are required to complete a 2 hour mandatory orientation. The orientation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 8, 10 am at the Mercer County Association of Realtors office. To sign up call Anna or Carolyn at 609-392-3666.

Golf Outing


GOLF: Annual Robert J. Lambert Jr. Golf Outing at the Trenton Country Club on Monday, September 13th @ $169 per golfer includes: green fees, cart lunch, dinner, reception, prizes, open bar and dancing. Reception only at $60 per person includes: dinner, prizes, open bar and dancing. Reception has been extended to 5 pm to 8 pm.

Silent auction proceeds will go to the Mathew and Jack Lambert Educational Fund. Donations for this auction would be greatly appreciated. If you or your office would like to make a donation for the auction, please contact Marlene at 609-392-3666 ext. 11.

Looking at Listings Seminar


"Looking at Listings" seminar on Wednesday, September 15 at 10 am. at the Association. Recent statistics show that 85-90% of home buyers will look at web listings before going out house hunting. What they see there will influence whether or not they will visit a house in person. Roberta Hurley, of the Artful Arranger is a professional Home Stager and Re-Designer who will critique web listings and discuss how to create more dynamic and appealing gallery presentations that will attract a greater number of potential buyers. Join her for coffee, conversation, and a bit of breakfast. A free 1 hour consultation (a $150 value) for one of your clients will be raffled off!

HMFA Seminar


NJAR® CEO to Speak at HMFA Seminar:
Real estate professionals and lenders are invited to a two-day seminar on September 15 and 16, 2010 at the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (HMFA) office in Trenton. NJAR® Chief Executive Officer Jarrod C. Grasso, RCE will speak on September 16th. Registration for the Thursday, September 16 seminar will begin at noon. The seminar will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m., and will conclude at approximately 4:00 p.m. Registration for the Wednesday, September 15 seminar will begin at 9:00 a.m. The seminar will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and will conclude at approximately noon.

With the exception of Jarrod Grasso’s presentation, HMFA representatives will cover the same topics on the 15th and 16th. This includes an overview of First-Time Homebuyer Programs, Smart Start, Live Where You Work, and the critical changes to underwriting guidelines. Therefore, attendees only need to register for one seminar, either Sept. 15th or 16th.
